From the new Creativity Centre in Mahebourg to the Village de Vacances at Calodyne sur Mer, J&A continues to build some of the finest leisure resorts/ complexes in Mauritius. Our company has been crafting landmark destination, including the recent restoration/ extension of a restaurant for Village de Vacances at Calodyne sur Mer.

Village de Vacances *

Winning competition entry for a “ Village de Vacances ” for employees contributing to the Employees Welfare Fund. The project located in the paradisiac setting of Calodyne sur Mer comprises 56 apartments fully equipped with kitchen corner. The support services include a restaurant, a clubhouse, a boathouse with jetty and a spacious conference cum dancing hall.
Creativity Centre *

Government has taken much time to mature due to lack of proper guidance and expertise in the area of child entertainment and creativity.This area of activity is a must in our society where the education system favours more academic performances. Situated on the sea front of Mahebourg, this colourful building is organised around an internal double height atrium where all the activity take place. The dormitories are peripheral to the atrium which is protected from the prevailing sea winds.

Millenium Dome *

A growing economy needs healthy people and the nation cannot afford to waste human resources in long waiting lists and queues. 100-bed private hospital with operation facilities and a diagnostic centre at the foot of Colline Candos. A private enterprise to complement public hospital facilities which show signs of limitation both in terms of means (financial, technological) and personel.

Restaurant Extension

Upgradation, Renovation & Construction of additional restaurant spaces for Village de Vacances at Calodyne sur Mer. Project included erection of I,000 sqm of Tensile Structure besides other renovation works.

Youth Resource Centre

The project comprises a fully equipped auditorium with a capacity of 350 people, library and resource centre, residential dormitories and apartments for staff. The centre is located in a residential area and has been designed as an introvert composition to minimize disturbance to the surrounding.

Restaurant Corner St. Louis/ Chevreau Sts

Construction of a high end speciality restaurant and cafeteria at Corner St Louis and Chevreau Streets. The building is almost reconstructed as per the original old Port Louis creole mansion with stone walls and wrought iron detailing. An internal open courtyard with a water feature completes the evocation of the old Port Louis colonial style.

Cape View Village

Cape View Village is a holiday resort consisting of 22 self-catering bungalows intended to be rented to tourists and Mauritians. Situated on the coastal road of Cap Malheureux, the general concept of the project is to provide totally autonomous bungalows with 3 bedrooms, carport, private terraces and gardens, giving entire privacy to each unit.

Nautical Centre

The project forms part of the Government general policy to provide leisure activities to Mauritius at large more so in the light of the ever increasing tourist population which gives the curious impression to the natives that they are being robbed of their leisure – the beach. The complex is an arrangement if small one storey buildings generating terraces and courtyards which meets the crucial need of natives.
