Exemplary Architecture
J&A participated in a competition for the extension of the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. Furthermore, we designed and built bus depots for the major bus companies in the island and due to the quality of our work, we entertain an excellent relationship with our clients.

Construction of Bus Depot
Government requested NTC to relocate the bus depot situated in the heart of Riviere du Rempart. The land occupied was to be freed for uplifting and re-organised in the town centre. A more appropriate land adjoining the traffic centre was vested upon the NTC for a new bus depot comprising workshops and office facilities and a depot for 100 buses. J&A was appointed Project Manager on the job.
Initially a 5000 sqm extension was planned. Eventually Government decided to extend the existing facilities by 20 000 sqm to house a new arrival terminal. The old one would then be free to extend the departure terminal. The new terminal would cater simultaneously for five arriving/departing airplanes. Four firms were choosen for the concept design of the terminal and the cityside circulation layout. Our international design partners included Flughafen Frankfurt, Main AG Airconsult of Frankfurt and R.A. Montier of Paris.

Construction of Bus Depot *
La Tour Koenig is intended to be the main depot of the NTC with an increasing number of buses. This depot has a full fledged centralised workshop for heavy mechanics and a sophisticated automated washing equipment with a washing water recycling plant. Up to 110 buses can be accommodated in the depot which also provides for 1000 sqm of office space.
